FALL IN PARK CITY

It was me and Dave's 12 year wedding anniversary (eeekk!) over the weekend so we drove up to Park City. And yes as you will notice in some of pictures the kids were there. Weekend getaways without kids are just not going to happen with our schedule's! We did go out Friday night though.
Anyway...back to my favorite place in the whole world...I obviously don't get out much.
But Park City in the fall?! YUM!!!
We went hiking and then took the kids on the alpine slide so some of my pictures are from the ski lift. I wish we had gone 2 weeks earlier since the leaves would've been in their prime.
(Ooops on the double picture! Blogger was being dumb and I lost track on what picture I was on.)

So once again the House of Smith's blog has done it again! After I saw the post I jumped into the car (okay maybe 2 days later) and drove 25 minutes to Winco for the candy. I made the mistake and didn't buy enough to fill the jars, but everytime I pass the table I pop something into my mouth so that didn't matter anyways. I told the girls they could have 1 piece a day and I told Austin it wasn't real candy (you should of seen him freaking out when he saw David eat one!)
Besides Christmas, Halloween is my favorite holiday to decorate for. I get out more stuff for my porch on Halloween day. Next year I want to do a Halloween tree!
For the candy table I just gathered around all of my clear glass jars. I'm going to leave it up for Christmas and Valentine's,too. I haven't done the tags like on the House of Smith's blog. I also got out my Halloweenish books for decoration, too. Next on my list is to buy Wicked, Wizard of Oz, exc. to add to the bookshelves.

Thank Goodness This One Likes To Play Dress Up Too!

AUSTIN'S FIELD TRIP

We missed this field trip last year and this year he's really into ambulances and police cars so he was lov'in it!
P.S. I do not dress him. For the last 2 weeks he has picked out play clothes instead of his school clothes and that day...ugh!
Oh and please don't ask about the Dumbo and blanket he is coddling. The dumbo was in the DI bag (I swear anytime I put anything in the DI bag something triggers in my child's brain screaming at them:"Get it out!! Save it! Even though you haven't played with it in years and will forget about it in a week or so you must save it!" I didn't see it until we were actually in the classroom ( I know. How in the world anyone could miss that thing is...maybe in a hurry to be on time for preschool!) But the picture just makes him look like, well, not what a 4 year old manly little boy who likes trucks and bugs should look like.

UPDATE

So the new bunny didn't go over to well. At first it went great! They couldn't tell at all, even played with it outside for about an hour or so, but when they were putting it back in its cage they were studying the bunny's face:
ADDIE: It looks different today (then slowly turning to me says:
Mom, did you have to get another one?!
I love how she says "have to" like she knew I had killed it (yes it was me. I'm willing to admit that now. I"m the bunny killer!)
So I couldn't lie and told them
Oh the hysteria!
Full blown out sobbing and crying and sobbing some more. It was mostly Aubree. Addie calmed down after about an hour, but Aubree would read to the stupid thing and decorated its cage and cleaned it out 2x a day. So I laid in bed with her until about 10:30 and then she came sobbing into my bed around 3am and when I asked about it the next morning she instantly burst into tears.
UGH!!!
Its been about 4 days now and all is well, but oh my gosh!!!

Someday I will learn to ask for help

I HATE asking for help, I never have, never will. When we put the girls downstairs their old room became an office. David didn't like the hutches on top of the desk so we put them downstairs. So one day I decided I want the hutches back and drag them upstairs. I get one of them on just fine, but the other.....
I heard glass breaking and one of the hutches go flying into the wall and I see our new computer knocked over...
now is a good time to run, hide, ESCAPE!!!!
Luckily it was just a frame and the computer was fine, but the wall......
good thing David isn't very observant or Aubree told him I was scared for my life because he has yet to say anything.

R.I.P

Sorry little bunny. You didn't last long at our house.

We were keeping it in one of the unfinished rooms downstairs and the poop was spilling out of the cage if it missed the tray. So I moved it outside to a somewhat shady spot thinking it would be okay since it wasn't that hot outside, but by 1pm it was a gonner! So I ran back to the pet store and bought another one that looked similar.
Hopfully the girls won't notice...

Will someone please tell my girls that IT'S NOT A DOLL!!
