We have finally finished the girls room!! The carpet was installed about 4 weeks ago and we were finally able to get them a bed yesterday.
We had a desk and a hutch from David's grandma. I took the hutch off because I didn't want it covering up all of the trim and painted it white along with the end table. Then I painted an old chair from me and Dave's glory days pink.
I still have some artwork that I want to do and I need to order some pictures, but that can wait. I'll post those pictures later when I'm done.
I sent some material to Modena to make the girls some matching quilts and I'm sooo excited to see those!
The bunk beds are a lifesaver! They finally have their own bed to sleep in (before they were both sleeping in a full size canopy bed with a trundle. When I bought it I thought that it was sooooo cute and hoped Addie would sleep in the trundle. Well she refused and the girls have been sleeping in the same bed for 2 1/2 years. Addie has night terrors and was constantly kicking Aubree and screaming in her face. Sometimes Aubree would come home from school and say, "Addie kicked me in the shoulder last night and it still hurts!" And of course they would stay up all night giggling. Last night it was sooooo quiet!! Aubree sleeps on top, but Addie has the bigger bed (which she needs with all of her moving around!)
All of the stores I shopped at were Direct Source Furniture, DownEast Home (damaged Pottery Barn for those of you who don't live in Utah,Gardner Village and Real Deals.

It turned out great! What are you doing with their room upstairs? I'm guessing it will become YOUR new crafty room. Haha.
We are finally finishing our basement. The drywall should be done next week sometime, and then we'll paint and get the subs back out. I'm hoping to have it all done in a couple weeks. :)
