OQUIRRH HILLS TEMPLE OPEN HOUSE
My family is in town from AZ so last Monday we went to the temple open house. It was a neat experience for the girls to see the sealing room and bridal room so when we tell them to have a goal to get married in the temple they have a visual of the inside as well as the outside.

MOM i'M BORED!
It doesn't matter how many places I take them and how many activities I sign them up for I still hear, "Mom I'm bored!" or Addie says, "Mom I'm boring!" So a little quick trip to Wal Mart and we headed over to the craft section and bought cheap purses for them to "design". Aubree has already lost the backpack I bought for her for the fall at summer school (they have already taken everything to DI. It was flip'in $30 and I think it still had the tags on it!) so she has to use this one for school.

ADDIE'S SUMMER SCHOOL
Our elementary school had a summer school program for kids going into kindergarten. It was mainly for kids who hadn't had any preschool, but I wanted to get Addie used to going to school since she's so shy. It was for $10 for a whole month, 3 hours a day M-THURS and it was the best $10 I have ever spent! Of course Addie freaked out on the first day, but was fine for the rest. Her teachers were AMAZING! She always came home with projects that she did and always said she had a lot of fun and couldn't wait to go back. On the last day they had a graduation with a full 2 hour program! The teachers actually teach 1st grade and I will definitely be requesting them in the next year! Addie made a couple of little friends, one in particular, Presley. Her teachers said that everyday they would trade shoes and couldn't wait to see what the other one was wearing!

DINOSAUR MUSEUM IN OGDEN
Funny how we moved from Ogden and I drive an hour to still go back! I took the kids to the dinosaur museum in Ogden. The kids really liked it. Austin was a little nervous at first cuz one of the first exhibits we saw was a T Rex "moving' and that totally freaked him out so I didn't get any cute pictures of him for a cute dinosaur scrapbook page I was planning! Its right near the canyon so a lot of it was outside. You go on a walk and look at all the "dinosaurs hidden in the trees and they have a playground. The price for adults was ridiculous at $7.00, but kids were only $5.00.

TREEHOUSE MUSEUM IN OGDEN
I used to have a membership here so we would come here all the time. They had some exhibits under construction which was just our luck, but the kids had a lot of fun. They have a huge "tree" with stairs in the middle that you can get to the 2nd floor to. Price isn't bad, $4.00 for kids and $5.00 for adults. ( I actually think it should be the other way around!)

BACKYARD FUN WITH THE COUSINS
Charity came over with her kids and we played in the kiddie pool and ate pizza. In the picture with all of the kids you can see the GIGantic area dave and I cleared. The weeds were, not kidding clear up to me knees! So today we are going to lay mulch down until we can figure out what to do. dave wants a fruit tree orchard but I have bad childhood memories of picking up rotten fruit in my backyard!

4TH OF JULY WEEKEND
We didn't do much this year. Dave and I have being working really hard getting our yard in so thats been our main focus. Theirs a huge area in our backyard covered in weeds and I finally convinced Dave that we could do it ourselves and not hire anyone. So we spent 6 hours pulling and raking. Yes we had that many weeds!! We took the kids swimming at the indoor pool in Tooele, went to the parade, got out the water balloons (which I swore to myself last year I would never do again!), took the kids to the new Ice Age, and did fireworks. And the today we're going to Temple Square with Daves parents. Anyways hope everyone had a safe weekend!
