We had a busy week this past week. Since I drive 45 minutes to take aubree to summer school in West Jordan I try and stay down there and hang out with friends I don't get to see that often. So I have been able to hang out with my good friend shellee & her kids, Robyn & her kids, and we also hung out with my sister and played with her 6 boxer puppies. We laid down some more sod in the yard and we also went to a baseball game and saw an AMAZING fireworks show. ooops, I forgot we all went swimming with rahndi again. Today we took the kids up the canyon and played in the water. This week is Aubree's last week of summer school. YEAH!!!

Check out my Slide Show!

Took a quick trip to Gardner Village today since its so close to Aubree's school in West Jordan. The kids LOVE Gardner Village. We always do the same thing: visit the animal farm, pick out a treat at the candy store, and pick out something at the "Just Girls' store.

THE WEEKEND

Busy weekend! We went on a drive to an old mining town, planted some more bushes and finally laid down some mulch, and had our good friends the Brammers over for dinner. We've known them since college and Aubree & Abigail have been great friends since they were 2! When they were 2 we would take them for a walk and they would be in separate strollers but insist they hold each others hands. So we would have to make sure we would push the strollers close together.

SWIMMING WITH AUNT RAHNDI

We went swimming with my sister in law at our local pool the other day. I took Austin down the water slide probably 50+ times and Addie 50+ times. Austin would say "Slide!" All the way up ( and since he has a vocabulary of 5, it was great to hear a new word. ) and then he would squeal all the way down! When he saw me go down with Addie he would get so excited because he knew it was his turn.

This has been our summer project. We hired a contractor to come out and put some shelves in. It was like Christmas morning for me when they were done! I never realized how badly I needed shelves to store all of my CRAP until they were finished! We put shelves in the fruit room, storage room, and garage. They also extended my 'deck" to put shoe shelves and made something to hang my brooms (they also did one for my shovels) eventually we will hang up hooks for coats and back packs. Since we have shelves in the fruit room I turned a table that I was using for food storage into a craft table for the girls (something I have been wanting to do for a VERY long time.) So then I finally got the playroom how I wanted it and hung up a picture collage. I bought the frames for cheap and painted them (also painted the bulletin boards)Also the contractors found 12 black widows in our window wells!!

4th of July

I am no longer a blond! This year we kept it low key. david says I always go overbored every holiday and stress myself out. So we made cookies, went to the parade, went to the Gateway & David took the girls to Wall-E while I took Austin to the museum, then we played in the sprinklers. We had dinner when we got home ( I made way too much food!!), we had a water balloon fight in the backyard (was not brining my camera out for that one!) then we dragged out the blankets and laid on the lawn to watch the fireworks, so ya know, just keeping it low key. (I usually do matching outfits, but knowing how picky Addie is I didn't do it this year. So I just had them wear last years outfit, Addie's being a VERY cute 4th of July dress. She put it on for 5 minutes but freaked out because it wasn't like aubree's so she threw it off..in case you were wondering why she wasn't wearing 4th of July.)

Backyard Flowers

These are some of the flowers I planted. They look great in the morning but by 4pm the sun has fried them and they are completely gone. Maybe next year...

SUMMERTIME BUGS

Austin found this HUGE caterpillar in our front yard! Aubree's favorite summertime activity is to catch bugs so she was thrilled when she saw it. Since we live out in the country we went on a short walk to find some more.
