JAZZ DRAFT

We took the kids to the draft and for my sake Austin didn't last very long so we walked over to the Gateway to shop. But the girls had a ton of fun! They got their pictures taken with the Jazz dancers, they signed a poster for them (or for Dave, we'll say it was for the girls) and then they got up on stage and danced with the Bear.

Weekend getaway

We stayed at the Zermitt resort in Midway, my favorite place in the world! Not the resort, just Midway. The hotel was nice. We had a separate room for the kids, but it was just nice to get away. And then I just had to stop at the Park City outlets...

LIVING PLANET AQUARIUM

I was getting bored of the zoo and the childrens museum so I took the kids to the aquarium. It definetly wasn't Sea World and I don't think it was worth the $, but the kids really liked it. We had some car trouble in the morning so by the time we got there Austin was done for the day so I didn't get a lot of pictures. (Sorry Sara, i was going to stop by, but Austin was a RAWNCH!)

Aubree was invited to be on an INVITE ONLY soccer team starting for next fall! They will do some in depth training and get her ready for competition soccer. Way to go Aubree!

ADDIE'S PRESCHOOL GRADUATION

Today Addie graduated from preschool! Of course I was a big boob and cried the entire time! Aubree never went to preschool so this was the first one. And we really liked Addie's teacher and she's moving..so there.
Anyways. It was really cute and Addie loved being the center of attention for once. I think she kind of feels left out since Aubree has soccer games every week so this was her thing. Afterwards I gave her a make up purse full of nail polishes and nail stickers.

THE EGGS HAVE HATCHED!!

So I checked on the nest today to find 10 out of the 12 eggs have hatched! The mom wasn't there so I quickly snapped some shots with the girls holding them (which of course I later learned it was a big NO NO!) I immediately called Addie's preschool teacher cuz coincidentally these last 2 weeks they have been learning about mommy animals and their babies. So she came over and was worried about them sneaking out under the fence so we put them in one of my storage bins next to the nest. By this time I was thinking the mom was gone for good and what in the world was I going to do with 10 baby ducks! So about 30 minutes later I hear the mom duck come back of course going crazy. I was worried she was going to reject them now that we've touched them. So I dumped them out of the bin and just waited to see what would happen. It took her a couple of hours, but I just checked on them and now she's sitting on them. Now I need to get a pool! And of course all I'm hearing is "Can we keep one?"

Ewe is all I can say. Since the dog idea got shot to you know where, I had to settle for this. What was supposed to be a simple FHE activity to the local pet store turned out costing me $150!

SPRING AT OUR HOUSE

So this is what I have been doing while Austin is at preschool. I'm sunburned, my back hurts, and I think I've convinced David just to pay someone to do the rest cuz i can't do anymore!!

"PETS" IN OUR BACKYARD

Apparently our backyard has become a haven for wild animals, probably because of all the weeds! We have a wild duck that has laid eggs, a birds nest, and this morning we found baby kittens in the window well!

SOCCER SEASON (UPDATED)

Aubree wanted to try soccer this year. She hasn't been in soccer since kindergarten. She was kind of a ball hog so I waited until she was ready again before I signed her up. Last Saturday was her first game and she did pretty good. They won their game and she's excited for the next game.

UPDATE: Aubree had a game today and scored a goal! They won 3-2

WICKED

My sister and I went and saw WICKED Saturday night. It was AMAZING! We didn't have bad seats either. I was shocked out how funny it was! The music was amazing and the main characters voice was incredible!!
