ADDIE'S FIRST DAY OF KINDERGARTEN
Why kindergarten started 3 days AFTER the rest of the kids I will never know! So finally the day arrived! She was ready by 8:30 and she of course has afternoon kindergarten. So we take pictures with the outfit she wanted to wear for the first day and after pictures were done she went and changed. TYPICAL! I took her 30 minutes early and she's all excited up until we get to the room and she looses it. I knew it was going to happen. I was thinking in my head as we were walking to the door "One onethousand, 2 one thousand...MELTDOWN!" So I'm trying to console Addie and chase Austin and the little boy I was babysitting running the other direction. I finally just peeled her off of me, gave her a hug & a kiss, and hurried and shut the door as her teacher pulled the screaming, was so excited all day she couldn't stand it, child away. I asked her teacher how she was afterschool and she said she stopped crying as soon as I left. Called that one, too. She does this every time their is a first day for anything. She'll be fine tommorow. The 2nd day is always so much better. So now 2 down, one to go. Austin starts on Monday!
FIRST WEEK OF SCHOOL
Yeah!! The day has arrived! Yes I know, I sound cruel, but I've done the fun summer mom thing. We've gone to the park, the museums, done the crafts and what not and I've put up with all of the "Mom I'm bored!" and dealt with all the fighting so I'm ready for some peace.
Aubree started 3rd grade on Monday and Addie didn't start until today. So Addie of course wants to still wear all of her school clothes so last night I had to do a mini load so she would have something clean to wear for her first day. Aubree has a little boy in her class that was in her kindergarten class when we lived in Ogden!

GETTING ORGANIZED
I think its the kids going back to school that puts me in an organizing mood (it only happens once a year!) Target has some really great bins and organizers out right now. The craft organizers by Snapware were $7.99-$11.99 and I bought 2 of each and they fit on top of each other. The hairbow organizer (you can use it for anything) was $5.99 for both pieces and then the baskets were $10-$15 each ( I bought them on sale, but I don't think they are on sale anymore.

COWABUNGA WATER PARK
Today we took the kids to the new water park in Draper. I didn't bring my camera cuz I didn't want to deal with it being around the water and now I wished I would have. (I've lost 2 cameras from dropping it in water!) Anyhoo... its way over priced: $16.00 for anyone over 48inches (we snuck Aubree in. I wasn't paying $16.00 for 3 people!) and $10.00 for anyone under 48inches and 3 and under are free. YOU CANNOT BRING ANY OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINKS IN AND THEY ONLY ALLOW 1 WATER BOTTLE PER FAMILY!) The water on the water slides were FREEZING!! Austin went down once and wouldn't go back. I took the girls down a couple of times just to get my moneys worth and screamed the whole time down and it wasn't because I was having fun! The girls had fun though. We mostly stayed in the lazy river cuz the water was much warmer. Austin was good for an hour and we had to try really hard to get him to stay for another hour. So at the end of the day, the girls had fun, but unless they lower the prices(I would pay about $8.00) or start heating the water in the waterslides, we won't be back!

SWIM LESSONS
The kids had their last week of swim lessons last week. I had all 3 kids in lessons so I had an hour to myself to read a magazine and layout! I think next year I will sign them up for 2 sessions!!! Austin was cold most of the time so when he wasn't in the water he would lay on the concrete to keep warm. Addie has this thing with boys and didn't want the boy lifeguards touching her (lets hope she always has that phobia!) Aubree should of been in a higher class, but she hasn't had swim lessons since she was 4 so I wasn't really sure where to put her.

INSTRUCTIONS:
Okay so here are the instructions:
I bought the 16x20 canvas boards at Wal-Mart for $8something in the paint section. I modge-podged the Back sides of the picture and placed it on the board and held it in place until it was somewhat dry. I modge-podged ribbon around the edges so you couldn't see the staples. I used camo for Austin's room. On the middle one I tore up pieces of scrapbook paper and modge-podge the front and back.It made the front have a shiney finish. First time using modge-podge. I had to be careful cuz the paper tended to bubble. I used modge-podge on the back of the picture and glued it onto the board. I had large foam stamps that I used for his name and I also used a rub-on right on the picture. I also bought some airplane stickers and used those. I think I will use the left over supplies and make a frame for his room. I got the pictures developed at Costco online. I usually go through Shutterfly but I have never been happy with their enlargements. Costco's turned out fantastic! And they were half the price from Shutterfly. When it was all said and done, the whole project was under $40 and it took me about an hour to do. (Not counting drying time of course) Hope this helps!

AUSTIN'S ROOM
So I did another canvas wall project in Austin's room. His room is so BLAH. I don't even have a comforter for him. I did an ink splatter filter on the pictures, but you can't see it on the blog. I should've done his name in a different color but oh well. I'm dying to do one for the girls, but we're in the process of finishing a room downstairs for them.
