HOW MUCH DO YOU SPEND ON GROCEREIS
In Sept. I spent over $700 in groceries which is just making me sick!$125 was at Albertson's when they were having their sale on campbells soup so that of course will last me a year. We budget for $600 and the cheapest I've been able to do it is $550. Groceries includes Schwans, Winder Dairy, Diapers, Wal-Mart, and Costco. I have a friend with a family of 6 that can do it for $400. So how much do you spend?

We budget for $500 that includes everything you would buy at WalMart, not only food. And that is only really for 2 people because Jeremy isn't big enough yet to eat regular food but it is still hard. I think the only way I have been able to come in under budget is to plan out a week's worth of meals and only buy what I need to make them. I usually buy meat at Costco once a month then spend about $50 a week on other ingredients. It is always really depressing to go shopping though!
Wow. I want to know what that family is eating for $400/ month. We average $700. I think my boys are growing. They are eating more and more. And my girls are snackers.
We spend at least $700. I can't stand spending so much on food! But I never do coupons or sales or anything anymore because grocery shopping and cooking in general are torturous enough for me. But I have the desire to start shopping more wisely so that I can buy more fun things with all that money.
I always spend so much on food and I don't understand how everyone else doesn't. Milk, diapers, meat, cereal....just the basics add up to at least $100-150 a week I would guess.
I spend way too much. We budget about $150 a week, but when it is all said and done, it is probably about $175 a week or $700 a month! I am going to try the coupon thing though.
we spend around 450 a month. I do shopping once a month. Then buy milk when needed. So sometimes less.
I Spend WAY to much! One BIG problem is I grocery shop at Wal-Mart which I never did in CA. I find it so easy as it is right next door to my boys Karate Studio.
So now I find my self going in to Wal-Mart twice a week to get just a few items and walk out $100 later. I can't help it, I see something (NOT ON MY LIST) and think, wow that's a good price, and my good intentions of trying to save money by shopping there in the first place, all go down the drain.
