My New Favorite Blog
I've been addicted to this blog lately. I'm getting the itch to decorate Austin's room and I came across this blog and found the cutest ideas for my playroom! So I found all of the stuff at home depot and guess what the best part is?:.....DAVID SAID YES! And maybe someday I will get around to Austin's room.

Alexis
Aubree has a dear friend who had a brain aneurysm last year and had stroke while in surgery. She actually recovered pretty well from that, but then had another stroke a couple of weeks ago. After several weeks in the hospital she was finally able to come home. Aubree invited some of her friends over to make hearts to decorate her room.

Christmas Decor
Ugly pink $2.00 pitcher from DI
I cut some branches off of my peach tree (YIKES!) and spray painted them white and again with silver spray glitter. (Thanks Melanie!)
So much better
These will last a week at my house
Blah. Don't know why I bothered to post this. I have a lot of little areas around the house that are decorated, but I'm not all that happy about them yet.
I finally updated the stocking pictures after 2 years
I'm loving the green daisy! I can't stick to certain theme for my tree. I just buy what I love.
I dragged all 3 of my kids around Tai Pan for 2 hours trying to figure out what to do for the bottom of my tree and this is what I came up with. After Christmas the basket will go into my pantry to hold bagged food.
Ucky camera! Half of my lights went out!! David said next year I can get my 9footer.
This has nothing to do with Christmas, but they were so cute I couldn't resist!! I got them at Tai Pan for $2.00 each. I'm not quiet sure where I want to put them though.
Since I cannot come up with ideas on my own, I look to others for inspiration: I always go to House of Smith's. So here is my version. I found a pitcher at DI and spray painted it. I very rarely find exactly what I am looking for, but it happened that day! Yipee for me!! And I won't tell you how long I've had my Christmas stuff up (3 weeks!)

LATEST PROJECT: WALL ART
I have been glued to my computer the last couple of days ever since I have found this idea! I downloaded the pictures from Leo Reynolds photostream and put them into a college using Adobe. I'm in the middle of putting something together for my wall and I will post that once it was done, but I couldn't wait to try it out for my main picture on my blog. This is now the cover of our family photobook for 2010. Now the ideas are tumbling out: wall collage for Austin's room, scrapbook page for Aubree's downtown photoshoot...
The blog where I got the idea from can be found here

THE PASSAGE BOOK REVIEW
The Passage by Justin Cronin
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Holy Cow! I can't believe I finally finished it! 766 pages!! The first half was definetly 5 stars. The middle was hard for me to get through. Too many characters! And too much going on! But once you make it through the middle and finally get to know everybody the later half is more enjoyable, more like 4 stars and of course the ending leaves you hanging. I think I will like the movie better since their was a lot going on it sometimes would loose me.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUBREE!!
So my baby girl is in the double digits now. Not sure how I feel about that. We took her to the Mayan for dinner which is her favorite restaurant and I think its NASTY!! Today for school I took her a happy meal for lunch and after she was done presenting her book report all of the sudden the class counted to 3 and then they all sang Happy Birthday to her which she LOVED! Then tonight we had Grandma Cheney and Uncle Nick and Aunt Annie come over for cake and presents. She got an art set, roller skates, and a rock tumbler.
P.S. Aubree's cake was a JOKE! I was so excited to do this one, but it ended up being one of my hardest cakes! I made the frosting too thick so my hand was killing me. I had to give it a rest after every couple of squeezes. ( By the time I realized it was too thick it was already in the bags and ready for squeezing) So it took me 2 1/2 hours!!

Its just hair....
For Aubree's birthday she wanted her haircut and her ears pierced. It took her 2 years to grow her hair so I've been having a hard time. Its just hair!! UGH! But still it was so pretty! It was 10 inches so just long enough to donate. At least some good will come out of this!
Getting the ear pierced was a little more traumatizing...for the girls! I did both of them and they both cried.

HALLOWEEN PART 2
Check out Aubree in the window!
I hate carving pumpkins!! I told the kids I'm only doing one this year.
My front porch
My fun lights above my front door
Aubree dumped out most of her candy to give to trick or treaters! I hate buying Halloween candy!
All of the cousins! This was the only picture I got of Austin. He didn't want to go trick or treating and stayed in his room most of the night playing with his toys.
Addie and Olivia
Aubree, Addie and Ava
Thank you Grandma Jensen for the cape!
